The Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education, Office of School Readiness administers Alabama’s Pre-K program. The classes are funded through a grant process. Sites throughout the state are awarded funding according to their ability to meet specific quality assurances and abide by rigorous operating guidelines. Alabama’s Pre-K program, First Class, has been awarded the highest quality rating by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) for the past nine years. On July 18, 2017, AMI was notified that it had been approved to receive funding to operate a First Class Pre-K program at the Forest Hills Child Development Center in the Fairfield City School District in Fairfield, Alabama. We are delighted to be able to join in partnership with the high quality services already being provided by Fairfield City Schools.  With these new slots Fairfield will serve 100% of the children living in Fairfield.
